TABLE SCAPES..... ?

Well, I just learned about a year ago what a table scape really was. It's a fancy word for "decorating" your dining table for any season, or occasion. I have discovered I love to do this.
I am always on the look-out for unusual cloth napkins, and other ceramics and things that you would never think of as a table decoration. Just put them all together and you have a beautiful "table scape".....
Here is my summer table scape.... cool blue and yellow and lots of sea shells even though I'm no way near the ocean.... it's relaxing to look at.

Little House was once at Our House

It seems the things we do as children become a valuable part of our lives.
Both girls loved watching Little House on the Prairie either in the original version or as a re-run.
The girls and I even went on a 4 day trip by ourselves to visit all the homes of Laura Ingalls Wilder - the sod house and then her adult home where she lived with her husband and raised her own children. We were able to relive some of those wonderful memories together when we went to see Little House the Musical at Bass Hall. My favorite was the song sung by Ma, wondering where her "wild child" had gone. I know it touched the hearts of all "Ma's" in the theater.

THIRTY YEARS... Can It Be?

Things in this life come and go, but friendships last.
We all love the Lord and love one another as well.
Our lives have stayed the same in all the important ways while we are learning to change with the times for the trivial.
We are missing one of our girlfriends who just happened to be in Hawaii!
(Poor thing.... Hawaii....)
I think we're looking forward to another get-together and many more laughs.

CHARLOTTE~FIND A WORD FOR ME.........

I feel like I need Charlotte from the children's story to help me find the perfect word to describe what a wonderful trip I just had with my grandson's and their other grandmother. Although, I don't think there is a word to describe 3 perfectly wonderful days and 2 nights of joy with my "Grand"boys, Matthew and Daniel, and my friend and their other grandmother, Diane. We took a road trip together to Houston and back. It was such a bonding time together we can't wait to plan and go on our next excursion.

PEACH JELLY!

As I listen to the little pops on the jelly jars as they seal, it makes me thankful. Thankful that the Lord knows best. What a hard winter, but it made the most beautiful peach blossoms, so many peaches, small ones- but very firm and full of juice and flavor. So what do you with peach pits and peelings, and peaches the size of walnuts? Make jelly!

IT'S THE PITS!

What do you get when you have a really hard winter.

A BLESSING!
