FUN AT NANA'S

Auntie Lauraleigh says she is Brock's favorite Auntie.
Swinging outside on a sunny day is the perfect thing.
Can you tell? We have some proud cousins!

We had a wonderful day together during Spring Break. We all visited and visited, played with our baby Brock, held him lots and had lots of time for hugging boys big and small. Making cookies always brings out the silly faces.

RE: WHAT TO DO?
I finally figured out that I wanted a sewing room (or maybe just somewhere to go when I want some time to myself) so... with a little paint, a little moving, and using what I had and adding a few small purchases from garage sales and second hand stores -- I have a new sewing room!

Now, I'm ready to start my projects!

RE: WHAT TO DO?

I have slept some, I've worked on some projects and I'll be hugging grandson #1 & # 2 on Thursday. I got to hold grandson #3 already, and plan on more holding soon!

Everything's a Project... is a saying of an old friend of ours. I got distracted from all the projects I thought I had on my list when I figured out I couldn't even clean my bedroom until I moved all the sewing projects out!

So, now I have a new project and a very fun one too. I've taken over the top floor in the two-story building in our backyard. Whatever it was going to be used for is long gone now. It is now becoming my sewing and craft room. It took one day to clean it all up, and today I painted. I'm now looking for a rug and other things to complete the room.

Here is a before shot of the sewing/craft room.

My On Going Christmas Gift...

D. gave me a wonderful Christmas gift... a box full of $$! I get to spend it all on whatever I want to as long as it's on gardening "stuff"... one of my most relaxing passions. How can I say that? When I garden, my back aches, even my fingers ache, but I love listening to the wind in the trees, the birds, even the children playing next door... cool and cloudy days are fine, sunny days are beautiful, hot days not my favorite but I can endure.... I even love to garden in the rain until I'm soaked to the skin.

So today, I bought a new way cool gardening wagon that dumps! I also bought all kinds of new perennials, old fashioned creeping phlox, Euryops, Hollyhock, Violets, Shasta Daisy's.

All I need is more time! Spring Break is only a week away and I do imagine myself spending a lot of that week in my yard.... what peace.
